With Custom Metrics, you can define your own metrics in DatAds that are perfectly tailored to your funnel or tracking.

Here is an example: Cost per Custom Conversion – the average amount you spend on a specific conversion.

In this guide, we will show you step by step how to create this metric using Google Referrer Conversions as an example.

1. Go to Metrics in the Navigation Bar

2. Click on “Add Custom Metric” in the top right corner

Here you can start the process of creating your own metric – based entirely on your individual data and events.

3. Name your new metric

4. Define the rule: Example “Google Referrer”

You divide the advertising expenditure value (“Spend”) by the number of a specific event – in this case, for example, all conversions that came about through Google as a referrer.

6. Click on “Save” – done! ✅

The new metric is immediately active and will be included in your reports.

If you want to change something later, you can find the new metric under Custom Metrics. There, you can click on “Edit metric” at any time to edit the metric or make changes.
