How to Add and Customize Metrics in Reports

To customize the displayed metrics, you can either:

  • Click on "⚙️ Metrics"

  • Click on the “Preset” -> "Customize Metrics"

  • on the far right side: click on "+ Add metrics"

You can find the settings for 'Customize Metrics' here:

What are Custom Conversions?

Custom Conversions allow you to track specific actions that matter most to your business — beyond standard platform events.

Instead of only relying on default events like Purchase or Add to Cart, you can define your own conversion logic.

This gives you more precise performance insights and helps you evaluate campaigns based on the outcomes that truly drive your growth.

💡 Tip: In DatAds, you can integrate your custom conversions into reports and analyses to track their performance just like standard metrics

If you use custom conversions, you can find them here:

❗ Important: To display the costs per standard conversion in DatAds, you need to create a custom metric.

How can I create Custom Metrics?

  1. Navigate to the “Customize Metrics” window (as shown above).

  2. Click on “add custom metric” in the top right corner of the window

  3. Name your Metric and give it a description

  4. Define the Rules of the Metric

  5. Pick your Sort preference (Asc / Desc)

  6. Set the correct formatter (Number, Percentage, Currency, etc.

  7. Click on the blue "Save" button

2. Once you’ve created the metric, it will appear in the right-hand panel, in the lower section under “Custom Metrics.”

What are Attribution Windows?

Attribution windows determine how long after someone interacts with your ad a conversion is credited to that ad.

For example, if a user clicks on your ad today but purchases three days later, the attribution window defines whether that purchase is counted as a result of your campaign.

By default, DatAds uses the attribution window set at the ad set level in your ad platform. However, you can customize how attribution data is displayed in your reports (see image below).

Which attribution windows are available to me?

DatAds supports all standard Meta attribution windows.

If you haven’t changed the attribution settings at the ad set level, the default is 7-Day Click and 1-Day View.

You can also choose from the following options:

  • Click Attribution
Credits conversions to ads that users have clicked within the selected time frame (e.g. 1-Day Click, 7-Day Click, 28-Day Click).

  • View Attribution
Credits conversions to ads that users have seen but not necessarily clicked within the selected time frame (e.g. 1-Day View, 7-Day View, 28-Day View).

💡 Good to know: If you use a 3rd-party attribution solution, you can connect it to DatAds. Here you will find all currently supported solutions.

3rd Party Attribution

IMPORTANT: Before adding 3rd-party attribution data as metrics in DatAds, make sure your attribution tool is connected.

How to check if your 3rd Party data is already available

  1. Go to Settings → Connections

  2. Check that your attribution tool is marked as “Active”

If that’s the case, scroll down to the bottom of the Metrics section.
There, you’ll find all available 3rd-party attribution data and their associated metrics.
