❗KLAR has updated its API and the DatAds integration has been rebuilt to match. Existing KLAR connections will be deactivated on September 30, 2026. After that date, no data will come through. If you already have a KLAR connection, create a new one using the steps below, then remove your old connections from Settings → Connections.
Before you start
You need a KLAR user with the Account Owner role, or a role that includes the Settings → API Key Management permission. Without it, the API Keys tab is not visible in KLAR.
To create a new KLAR connection, follow the steps below:
Step 1 — Generate an API key in KLAR
In KLAR, go to Account Settings → API Keys.
If you do not see this tab, ask an Account Owner to assign you a role with the Settings → API Key Management permission (Account Settings → Users → Manage access).Click Create New Secret Key.
Give the key a descriptive name, for example
DatAds Integration.Define the key's scopes. The Attribution permission must be enabled. DatAds cannot load attribution data without it and the connection will fail.
Click Create. The raw API key is shown only once. Copy it immediately and store it in a safe place. It cannot be recovered afterwards.
❗The API key is tied to the KLAR user who created it. If that user is deleted or suspended, the key is revoked automatically and the DatAds connection stops working. Use a user account that will stay active.
Step 2 — Open the connection in DatAds
Go to Settings → Connections and click Connect to KLAR API V2.
Step 3 — Paste the key and select your shop
Paste the API key, then select the shop you want to load data for.
If you have multiple shops, one connection covers one shop. Create a separate connection per shop and reuse the same API key.
Step 4 — Select attribution models and windows
Choose the attribution models and windows you want DatAds to load. You can select at most 6 model × window combinations, for example 2 models × 3 windows, or 3 × 2, or 6 × 1.
Step 5 — Click Finish Setup
Step 6 — Confirm
Once you see Connection Successful, you are done. Data loading starts in the background immediately and your KLAR data should appear in DatAds within 24 hours.
💡 To ensure your information stays up to date, data is automatically refreshed every 12 hours.
Troubleshooting
