How many new ads have I launched recently? How many of those have emerged as winners? Which ads failed to gain traction, and which creatives are ripe for iteration?
The Launch Cockpit answers these questions automatically, providing a curated set of pre-configured reports for immediate out-of-the-box analysis. It’s the perfect way to keep your team aligned and ensure you are scaling based on your most critical KPIs.
Accessing your Launch Cockpit:
You can easily identify the Launch Cockpit by looking for the rocket icon in the sidebar navigation.
The Right Launch Cockpit Set-up
As with all DatAds reporting, the Launch Cockpit is fully customizable, allowing you to build views that align with your specific performance goals and most critical KPIs.
You can choose between Meta and TikTok as the platform. Google is currently not available, as Google does not provide the launch data for the ads.
Defining your Winners and Opportunities
The core power of the Launch Cockpit lies in its ability to automatically categorize your ads so you can focus on what scales. To get the most out of this report, you must tailor these definitions to your specific business goals.
Tailoring your Definitions
DatAds provides default definitions based on historical account data to get you started immediately. However, for maximum impact, you should customize these criteria to reflect your most critical KPIs.
Winners: These are your top-tier performers. By default, these are evaluated based on your main conversion. You should adjust the thresholds (e.g., Cost per Purchase or Minimum Purchases) to match your specific profitability targets.
Opportunities: This category captures ads that show high potential (per default based on "soft metrics" like CTR, Thumbstop Ratio, and Hold Rate). These are measured against your account average to benchmark and improve performance over time.
Date Range & Performance Windows
Filter performance data by Date Range across two distinct categories:
Launched: The specific window when the ads were first deployed.
Performance: The timeframe used to track the resulting data for those ads.
💡Pro Tip: The launch period and the performance period can be different. For example, you can look at how ads launched in January are performing right now.
Customizing your View
Tailor the Launch Cockpit to your specific reporting needs by adjusting how your data is organized and filtered:
Platform: Quickly between Meta, TikTok and Google.
Group by: Customize your view by grouping campaign assets — such as by Creative, Ad Name, or Campaign — to surface specific insights.
Advanced Filters: Apply filters to isolate the performance data that is most relevant to you.
👉 These features work the same way across all DatAds reports. You can find a detailed breakdown of the basic settings here.
Automatic categorization of your creatives
The newly launched ads are automatically categorized into three categories, whereby they end up in the 'Launched' category (far left) by default.
💡 Good to know: If you select a specific category, you will only be shown the ads that are assigned to this category.
Winners
Categorization is performed automatically by DatAds calculations based on historical account data.
The main conversion is used to evaluate the ads accordingly.
❗IMPORTANT: We strongly recommend tailoring the winning criteria to your specific business goals. Don’t skip this fundamental step in your DatAds setup.

Opportunities
In the 'Opportunities' category, ads are analyzed using the soft metrics CTR, Thumbstop Ratio and Hold Rate.
These values are based on the account average.
❗IMPORTANT: The account average serves as a benchmark to improve the performance of the ad account over time.
When categorizing the ads, it is also possible that an ad is categorized as a winner and as an opportunity. This can happen if the ad fulfills the main metric set in the Winner filter and a metric from the Opportunities filter.
Additional Views
The newly launched ads are automatically displayed in the table view.
This can of course also be changed and you can switch to the grid view (which features your ads ranked by performance medals).
Track your success with the Hit Rate
The Hit Rate is a critical KPI that shows the percentage of your ads in a selected timeframe (e.g., the last 7 or 30 days) that meet your defined Winning Ad criteria.
Calculation: total number of winners / total number of ads launched within the selected timeframe
You can access your Hit Rate directly within the Launch Cockpit or on your DatAds Homepage to get an instant view of what share of your ads qualify as winners.
This allows you to track at a glance whether your overall creative performance is improving or declining over time.
The Power of Creative Alignment
The Launch Cockpit isn't just a dashboard; it’s a collaboration hub. By establishing a shared, data-driven definition of "Success," different departments — from Media Buying to Creative Production — can finally speak the same language.
This alignment allows your team to:
Iterate Faster: Instantly identify which creative patterns are winning to inform your next production cycle.
Scale with Confidence: Move budget toward proven winners without manual cross-referencing.
Align Stakeholders: Keep your team informed and your clients aligned on what constitutes a successful launch.
Automate your Success
Once you have perfected your definitions, you can leverage advanced workflows to ensure no winner goes unnoticed:
Slack Alerts: Receive instant notifications when a new "Winner" is detected.
Blink AI Workflows: Leverage AI to automatically analyze your winners and generate creative ideas, angles, and iterations based on what’s already working.
