What This Does
AI Workflows in DatAds automatically analyze your top performing ads and use that data to generate insights, recommendations, and creative suggestions. For these workflows to work well, DatAds needs to know which ads count as “winning,” because those winners become the reference set the AI learns from.
This article explains how to customize that definition.
How Winning Ads Work in AI Workflows
AI Workflows pull a set of your best performing ads and use them as a template for analysis and generation.
By default, the workflow uses your Launch Cockpit’s winning ad settings as the criteria. This includes:
Timeframe (e.g. last 7 days)
Filters (e.g., platform / campaign / audience)
Sorting and grouping rules
If you have defined “winners” in Launch Cockpit already, the workflow will use that same definition.
Step-by-Step: How to Customize Your Definition
You have two options.
1. Use Existing Launch Cockpit Settings (Default)
Navigate to your Workflow settings
Open Winner Settings
Select Yes for “Use Launch Cockpit settings”
This tells the AI Workflow to use the same filters, timeframe, and criteria you have already set up in your Launch Cockpit.
❗ IMPORTANT: Only certain grouping options are supported when using this mode. If you selected a grouping other than "None", "Creative", or "Ad Name" in Launch Cockpit, the workflow will automatically switch to “Group by None” while still applying your winner filters.
2. Create a Custom Definition for the Workflow
Navigate to your Workflow settings
Open Winner Settings
Select No for “Use Launch Cockpit settings”
For each platform - Set your own:
Timeframe
Filters
Sorting rules
This allows you to define a completely separate winning ad criterion for AI Workflows, independent from your Launch Cockpit setup.
