What are Presets and why are they useful?

With Presets, you can create your own custom views in DatAds – including the metrics and attribution settings that matter most to you.

This means you don’t need to build a new report every time.

Simply select the right Preset from the dropdown menufast, flexible, and consistent.

What exactly is a Preset?

A Preset is a saved view that includes your preferred settings, such as:

  • 📊 Selected metrics

  • ⚙️ Custom metrics (if defined)

  • 🧭 Attribution settings

The 3 most popular presets

1. General Preset

Define the KPIs you want to analyze on a daily basis.

This will ensure that you focus on the metrics that really make a difference.

💡Pro Tip: Don't get lost in “analysis paralysis.” Choose only the key KPIs that truly reflect your performance.

Example for eCommerce brands:

  • Sort:

    • Purchases or Spend

  • Metrics:

    • Spend / Purchases (depending on the sort)

    • Purchase ROAS

    • Cost per Purchase

    • AOV

    • Purchase Conversion Value

    • Cost per Add to Cart

    • CTR (Link Click Rate)

If you’re using a third-party attribution platform (e.g. TripleWhale, Klar, or adtribute), make sure to include those metrics as well for a complete performance view.

1.1. Analyze creatives using different attribution settings

If you analyze your creatives based on specific Meta attribution settings – for example, 1-Day-Click only – you can create separate Presets for each attribution setup.

This allows you to easily switch between different attribution models, such as:

  • Default: 7-Day-Click, 1-Day-View, 1-Day-Engaged

  • Alternative View: 1-Day-Click only

2. New Customer Preset

Perfect for brands focused on growth and acquisition.

Important: To use this Preset, you need to set up the Custom Conversion “New Customers” (via Google Tag Manager or another integration like Mable).

This Preset should only include metrics related to new customer acquisition, such as:

  • New Customers

  • Cost per New Customer

  • Revenue from New Customers

This way, you can instantly identify which creatives and campaigns are driving the most valuable new customer growth.

💡Pro Tip: Alternatively, you can create a dedicated New Customer report if this metric is a key focus for your business.

3. Creator Preset

If you regularly share performance insights with creators, influencers, or UGC partners, this preset is ideal.

Instead of revenue, spend, or ROAS metrics, this preset is based on DatAds’ Score Metrics:

  • Hook Score

  • Watch Score

  • Click Score

  • Conversion Score

These scores evaluate creative performance without exposing sensitive business data.

💡 Pro Tip: Add additional metrics, or create separate presets for trusted- / inhouse creators with more insights.

When Presets Are Most Valuable

Presets help you work faster and more consistently – especially when:

  • You regularly analyze performance based on recurring goals (e.g., new customers, engagement, ROAS)

  • You work in a team and want to maintain consistent analysis standards

  • You manage multiple report types and want to avoid repetitive setup

With the right presets in place, you can analyze data in DatAds more efficiently, stay structured, and ensure full team alignment.

Focus your time where it really matters — on creative performance.
