What is a Attribution Window?
You can customize the attribution window displayed in DatAds. By default, the attribution window that you have defined at ad set level is used.
Which attribution windows are available to me?
All common meta attribution windows are available to you.
If you have not made any further settings at ad set level, this is 7 Day Click and 1 Day View. You have the following additional options:
Click attribution: Assigns conversions to ads that users have clicked within the specified time window (7D-Click, 1D-Click, 28D-Click).
View attribution: Assigns conversions to ads that users have seen but possibly not clicked on (e.g. 1D view, 7D view, 28D view).
💡 Good to know: If you use a 3rd party attribution solution, you can also connect it to DatAds. The following solutions are supported: Adtribute, Triple Whale, Hyros and Tracify
What are Custom Conversions?
Custom conversions are individual events that work in a similar way to standard events, but can be adapted specifically to the needs of your company.
💡 Tip: In DatAds, you also have the option of integrating these custom conversions into your analyses and tracking their performance.
If you use custom conversions, you can find them here:
❗ Important: To display the costs per standard conversion in DatAds, you need to create a custom metric. ❗
How can I define my Custom Metrics?
Click on “add custom metric” to define your own metric in DatAds:
2. As soon as you have created the metric, you will find it in the right-hand section in the lower third under “Custom metric”.
3rd Party Attribution
❗ IMPORTANT: Before you can add 3rd-party attribution data as metrics in DatAds, make sure you’ve connected your preferred attribution tool first. ❗
Additionally, check whether the data is already available.
You can do this under:
Settings → Connections.
The status there should show “Active.”
Once that’s the case, scroll down to the bottom of the Metrics section.
There, you’ll find all available 3rd-party attribution data and their associated metrics.
