The product-based Comparative Analysis report gives you exactly that insight. It groups your ads at the product level โ€” independent of campaigns or ad sets โ€” so you can evaluate true product performance across your entire account.

You get a clear, birdโ€™s-eye view that helps you instantly answer:

With the Comparative Analysis Report, you can group and compare your ads side-by-side by product category.

๐Ÿ‘‰ Learn more about the Comparative Analysis Report in this article.

How to set it up:

1. Click โ€œ+ Createโ€ to create a new Comparative Analysis Report.

2. Name your report, e.g., Product Overview Report.

3. Define your Groups:

  • Create a group for each product category.

  • Add filters based on your ad naming. For example:

    • Ad Name contains "Cookies"

    • Ad Name contains "Brookie".

  • Click โ€œ+ Add groupโ€ to include additional product categories.

๐Ÿ’ก Good to know: DatAds automatically uses your ad naming to detect groups. If none are found, you can create one manually using โ€œEmpty Group.โ€

As always, you should also apply any Preset to this report โ€” for example, a New Customer- or Video Preset.

โ—Important: A clean and consistent Naming Convention is essential for accurate reporting.

Additional comparison options

One of the biggest advantages of the product-based overview report is its flexibility โ€” you can compare anything, as long as itโ€™s included in your ad naming.

Create individual reports for each comparison type to keep your analysis clean and focused.

In addition to product categories, you could also analyze:

  • ๐Ÿ” Funnel stages (e.g., Awareness vs. Conversion)

  • ๐ŸŽจ Ad concepts, angles, or content creators

โ— IMPORTANT: Anything clearly structured in your ad name can be filtered, grouped, and compared in DatAds.
