With the tagging feature in DatAds, you can organize and analyze your creatives efficiently - even without a perfect naming convention.

Tags allow you to mark, categorize and specifically evaluate creatives and ads.

What are tags and why are they important?

Tags are short, descriptive labels that you can assign to your creatives and ads.

They are particularly helpful for complex campaign structures or if you want to bring order to your data retrospectively.

Tags are comparable to a good naming convention. If you already use a well thought-out naming convention, you generally don't need any additional tags.

Think of tags as helpful support - for example, if errors have occurred in the naming convention or if you gain access to a new ad account and don't want to rename thousands of ads.

You can find out more about the naming convention here to give your ads the right names.

How does the tagging feature work?

You can select Meta, TikTok or Google as the platform for tagging.

In the tagging feature, you also have the option of specifying the time period of the launched ads and applying other useful filter options.

Categories as testing variables

Categories correspond to individual test variables that you would otherwise record in the naming convention.

A category could be the ad format, for example. The associated tags that you can assign to the creatives could then be 'Image', 'Video' or 'Carousel', for example.

This is how you can create a category:

Assign tags: You can assign tags individually or in bulk. This is particularly practical if you want to organize many creatives at the same time.

Tag Single Ad = single view

This is particularly practical if you want to label / tag a single ad without a good naming convention:

Bulk assign tags = multiple ads view

In the table view, you can display several ads at the same time and assign several tags to them simultaneously.

How to organize Unlabeled / Labeled Creatives

Creatives that have been tagged can be found in the 'Labeled' section; ads without tags are displayed accordingly in the 'Unlabeled' section.

How to use tags in the comparative analysis

Filter with tags:

Use tags to display all creatives in the comparative analysis - even if older ads do not have a good naming convention.

Create a filter for the tags and add it to the group.
