Opening a Brand Detail Page

In Discovery, click any brand's name or logo to open its detail page.

πŸ‘‰ If the brand you're looking for isn't listed yet, see this article to learn how to add it.

The Brand Header

At the top of the page you'll see:

  • Brand name and profile image

  • Industry (when available)

  • "Analyzing ads since [month year]" β€” the date of the oldest ad DatAds has on record for this brand.

  • "Updated [time ago]" β€” the last time DatAds refreshed this brand's data. Pages are typically updated within a 24-hour window. This is not a live sync with the ad library.

The total number of ads in our dataset for this brand is shown in the top left.

Analytics Breakdown

Below the header, you'll find a breakdown of the brand's creative activity:

  • Top media mix

  • Top landing pages

  • Top hook and headline tactics

  • Additional AI-tagged dimensions (click Show more to expand)

Clicking any row in the breakdown applies it as a filter to the ad grid below. For example, clicking "Transformation - 56%" instantly narrows the grid to ads tagged with that angle. You can also open the Filter dropdown in the ad grid directly for full control.

The Ad Grid

The ad grid shows all ads for this brand. The filters, sort options, and search work the same way as in the main Discovery page. Click any ad to open the detail view.

Following a Brand

In the top right of the page, click Follow to add this brand to your client's Following list.

Marking a Brand as a Competitor

Next to the Follow button, you also have the option to mark a brand as a competitor.

A few things to know about Following & Competitors:

  • Both features are per client, not per user. Everyone in your workspace with access to the same client shares the same followed brands & competitor list.

  • Both features do not trigger an immediate refresh. New ads appear after the next scheduled update, typically within 24 hours.

  • To unfollow or remove a competitor, click the same buttons you used to follow them in the first place.

The Following / Competitors Feed

Open Following or Competitor in the left sidebar (under Inspiration) to see a combined feed of the latest ads from all brands your workspace follows. You can filter, sort, and search within this feed just like in Discovery.

To manage your followed / competitor brands, click Brands you follow on the Following / Competitors page. From there you can open any brand's detail page or unfollow brands directly.

Your competitor brands are also used as a reference in the Diversify Workflow, which generates new ad concepts based on your winning creatives and the ads your competitors are running.
