What is “Inspiration” and how can I use it for my brand or agency?
💡 Good to know: The Inspiration feature works at the client level -- each client has their own boards and saved ads.
With the Inspiration feature, you can discover, save, and organize ads from other brands. Use it to analyze competitor strategies, create inspiration boards, and track creative trends.

Where can I find the Inspiration feature?
Click on the photo icon in the left sidebar in DatAds.
Save ads to boards (from Discovery).
To save an ad to a board:
Click on the ad details.
Click Save to Board.
Select the board.
The ad will now appear in the selected board.
Create and manage boards.
To create a new board:
Click Create in the left sidebar.
Give your new board a name and an optional description.
Start adding ads.
💡 Tip: You can create as many boards as you like. We recommend grouping them with folders—by type (Video, Static), messaging approach (Humor, Nostalgia), or funnel stage (TOFU, MOFU, BOFU).
Share boards with your team
Open the board you want to share.
Click the Share button in the top right
You will receive the public link to the board. You can share this with your team (no DatAds account required).
How can I add new brands to Discovery?
If you can’t find a brand in Discovery, you can add it either by saving an ad with the Chrome Extension (Option 1) or by adding the link to the Ad Library (Option 2).
Option 1: Save an ad using the Chrome Extension.
Install the DatAds Chrome Extension.
Navigate to the Meta Ad Library and open a page.
Add the ad to DatAds using the Save to DatAds button.
DatAds will automatically add all other active ads from the page to Discovery in the background (this usually takes about 1 hour).

Option 2: Add the Meta Ad Library page URL.
Navigate to the Meta Ad Library and open a page (copy the link).
Go to Discovery in DatAds.
Click the Add Brand button in the top right.
Paste the link to the Meta Ad Library page.
Click Add Brand
DatAds will automatically add all other active ads from the page to Discovery in the background (this usually takes about 1 hour).
❗ IMPORTANT: Search for a specific brand and then click on it. Don't just search for a keyword that returns multiple brands. ❗
